One of the most popular ocean front destinations in Southern California, Laguna Beach is an artists' colony that offers visitors a destination for a short day trip or a weekend retreat. With one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California, Laguna Beach also has many luxurious hotels, exquisite dining experiences, and world-renowned art galleries.

Laguna Beach is known for its miles of beautiful beaches and oceanfront properties, one of the most expensive real estate areas in California and Orange County. Laguna Beach also boasts a vibrant 'liberal' community, with its support of the gay and lesbian community. The show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County was based on the lives of several teenagers living in Orange County and became one of MTV's most succesful and highly-rated shows.

When in Laguna Beach, visitors must visit the Laguna Beach Playhouse, the oldest and still operating playhouse on the West Coast. Laguna Art Museum is another must-see that exhibits large permanent collections of California artists as well as other special exhibits that visits this museum. A Pacific Marine Mammal Center offers visitors the chance to come up-close and personal with marine mammals.

Nearby Laguna Beach are Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, and also the world-famous shopping center South Coast Plaza.
