Santa Monica is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. Situated in Los Angeles County and a short drive from Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Santa Monica is a must-see tourist destination for those visiting Southern California or the LA area. Santa Monica Pier is home to Pacific Park and the world-famous ferris wheel on the pier. Santa Monic Pier also has a carousel for the kids, gift shops, aqaurium, arcade, restaurants, and a pub.

Visitors can spend the day strolling shops on Third Street Promenade, dine at many of LA's finest restaurants, or hit the nearby bars. Santa Monica is also home to many businesses in the entertainment industry, including MTV and Universal as well as other major corporations such as Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft.

Many movies and TV shows have also been shot in Santa Monica, including 17 Again, Rocky III, Forrest Gump, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Baywatch, etc.
